Inspiring sites about small boats
Global Mariner, one of my all time favourite sites in which Karsten Petersen shares amazing photography depicting many ships and scenes he witnessed during his time as a ship's engineer including lots of junk rigged ships still in operation in the seventies.

Sven Yrvind, a small boat sailor willing to deviate from the sailing status quo. Sven has also worked closely with Matt Layden (designer of the Paradox) on some projects.

Annie Hill surely needs no introduction. Annie reminds me that although there is much pressure in this world to follow cultural norms, that we do in fact have choices about how we choose to live if only we can find the courage to step outside the box.

Mark Anderson shares his experience building a strip plank sailing boat including a detailed description and series of photos of his lead keel pouring. His project is huge compared to my Perigee, but his ideas have been helpful and I'm very thankful that he took the time to create his web site.

Tevor Robertson built his steel Wylo II gaff cutter in Queensland. His blog describes some of his amazing adventures in the high latitudes and contains much useful detail for anyone considering voyages in such regions including: experience with equipment; technique for surviving polar conditions; and his charts of previously uncharted anchorages. Definitely worth reading for mariners seeking to venture beyond the milk run.
